Melodie foukací harmoniky z filmu Tenkrát na západě vyvolává mrazení v zádech ještě dnes. Za tímto pocitem stojí pětaosmdesátiletý Ital Ennio Morricone, jemuž se klaní největší hvězdy Hollywoodu i špičky evropské kinematografie.

Ennio Morricone složil hudbu k více jak 500 filmům, spolupracoval s nejlepšími světovými režiséry jako je Sergio Leone, Paolo Pasolini, Bernardo Bertolucci, Brian De Palma, Roman Polanski, Warren Beatty, Pedro Almodóvar, Quentin Tarantino.

Ennio Morricone dostal desítky ocenění za svoji filmovou hudbu a byl 5x nominován na Oscara. Toho dostal v roce 2007 za celoživotní dílo a předával mu ho herec Clint Eastwood, který hrával drsné chlapíky právě v proslulých spaghetti westernech.
