Popis

Německá thrash metalová kapela Kreator vznikla v roce 1982 v Essenu a už za dob normalizace patřila k nejpopulárnějším spolkům v tuzemské metalové komunitě.

Styl skupiny se poměrně často proměňoval, od speed metalového inspirace přes thrash k industriálnímu a gotickému metalu.

Zároveň jsou považováni za pionýry death a black metalu.

Po roce 2000, tedy zhruba od alba Violent Revolution, jsou jejich kompozice více melodické.
