Program alba, sestavený ze skladeb, které mají tematicky (občas velmi volnou) vazbu k přírodě, je časově široce rozkročený mezi 17. až 21. stoletím. Kromě autorů jako Francesco Cavalli, Georg Friedrich Händel, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Richard Wagner nebo Gustav Mahler tu najdeme např. i našeho Josefa Myslivečka. Skladba „První jitro světa” britské autorky Rachel Portmanové na text amerického básníka a textaře Genea Scheera byla zkomponována speciálně pro toto album.
