Se svým novým albem „Songs of Passion”, sbírkou vokální a instrumentální hudby Johna Dowlanda a Henryho Purcella - anglických skladatelů narozených s odstupem téměř jednoho století - vytvořili mezzosopranistka Lea Desandre, loutnista Thomas Dunford a Ensemble Jupiter vítaný doplněk ke svým předchozím, tematicky spřízněným nahrávkám u vydavatelství Erato („Eternal Heaven”, „Idylle” a „Amazone”). Zatímco Dowland ve svých intimních skladbách pro hlas a loutnu úspěšně evokuje milostnou melancholii, hudba Henryho Purcella - největšího skladatele barokní éry narozeného v Británii - zahrnuje bohatou rozmanitost nálad a emocí.
